Through the year, we put on a programme of regular events. Full details of each of these will be in the
Diary of Events,
as well as additional events, as and when they occur.
Week of Prayer for Christian Unity - mid January.
For this national event, we co-ordinate local activities and distribute any literature to our member churches.

Unity Conference - mid January.
Bringing local churches to a day of seminars and discussion. The theme is usually linked to working together in mission,
that is, some aspect of spreading the good news that all churches have in common. Advance booking is recommended.
Lent Bible studies - March to April.
Usually meeting in people’s homes, small groups celebrate the differences in church traditions while taking a fresh look at the death and resurrection of Jesus.
Good Friday worship and hunger lunch - March or April.
Combined worship on the day we remember the death of Jesus. This is followed by a bread and cheese “hunger lunch” to raise funds for
Christian Aid.
Easter Day - March or April.
Very early morning worship to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus!
Carnival week - mid August.
Starting on the Sunday at the beginning of the Eastleigh Carnival
week with a praise meeting and making other contributions as the week of fun continues.
Advent meditations - December.
Short meditations once a week in the run up to Christmas, held at four different venues.
Prayer - Three different formats . . .
1. Prayer Calendar: a diary of prayer for each other’s churches through the months of the year.
2. Prayer Breakfasts: on the first Saturday of each month, beginning at 8:30am, at a church in this area or in Chandlers Ford.
Forum meetings - three or four times a year, representatives from all member churches gather to sort out the “business” side of Churches Together in Eastleigh. The May/June meeting is the Annual General Meeting, preceded by supper.
Socials - just for a bit of fun while making and renewing friendships with people from other churches.
Election Question Time - meet the parliamentary candidates and put those awkward questions to them.
We will try to arrange one of these meetings for all General and Bye-elections for Westminster.
Day Conference - occasional meetings about specific issues.
