Churches Together in Eastleigh & Bishopstoke |
St Andrew’s Methodist Church is a worshipping community whose premises are situated just behind Tesco’s car park, in Blenheim Road. We are one of five churches in the Methodist circuit known as Eastleigh. Some of our members live near the church, but others come from elsewhere in the circuit, even as far as Horton Heath and Durley. Although we worship within the Methodist tradition, for some time we have been striving to develop a variety of styles which meet the diverse spiritual needs of members of all ages and backgrounds.
We are seeking to be a church whose members know and understand the needs of the local community so that, in partnership with our sister churches in the circuit and in Churches Together we may better serve God’s purposes in the places to which he has called us. Our close proximity to the Swan Centre and the town centre has drawn our particular attention to the needs of those who work and shop there, as well as the occasional homeless who spend their days and some nights in the vacinity.

“O Spirit of light, help us to see with the eyes of Jesus our Lord, and so to care. O Spirit of discernment, help us to love like Jesus and so to dare. O Spirit of truth help us to pray in the name of Jesus and in his power to share. Amen.”
